One of the biggest surprises of the year was definitely Portal When Portal 2 Via Portal: Companion Collection for Switch. Widely regarded as two of his best video games of all time, the port ran like butter on his Nintendo hybrid his console, along with characters like Wheatley and his revered GlaDOS, along with many more. Sure to introduce new players to his world of Aperture Science.
One of Valve’s jokes is that publishers can’t seem to make a third entry for a popular IP.franchises like left 4 dead, PortalWhen half life It all ended more or less with their respective sophomore titles (but you could argue that half life alix It’s technically the third mainline entry in the Half-Life series), but this hasn’t stopped fans from petitioning for more of that Valve goodness.
One person who recently expressed a desire to join the Portal franchise was none other than Ellen McLain, the famous actress who voices Portal’s main antagonist, GlaDOS. In an interview with YouTuber KIWI TALKZshe responded to comments related to fan requests regarding Portal 3, specifically GlaDOS.
“Now write me! E-mail Valve! Nice to meet you. Say ‘Ellen wants to do Portal 3’!”
I said it jokingly, but the intention is certainly there. She went on to explain that an actor’s job is to make sure a character doesn’t get stale after multiple portrayals, and that Valve has always provided excellent direction on how GlaDOS comes across in games. The implication here is that Ellen is willing to take on the GlaDOS character again and isn’t particularly concerned about the character becoming obsolete.
In a previous interview with KIWI TALKZPortal and Portal 2 writer Erik Wolpaw, expressed similar interest in the new Portal title, saying, “I’ll be working on another Portal soon, but I can’t bring myself to make it happen.”
