Next year JRPG Switch fans will have their eyes on FuRyu’s co-op action title Trinity Trigger.
As you may have read, this game was developed by an all-star cast of talent who worked on games like Secret of Mana, Xenoblade Chronicles, and Octopath Traveler. Another piece of good news is that the Western will be released on the Switch in ‘early 2023’.
The game is set to launch in Japan next week, and ahead of its release, it received its first initial review score from legendary Japanese publication Famitsu. 31/40Here’s how each reviewer on the panel rated it out of 10: 7/8/8/8.
In other words, it is definitely a work worthy of attention. Trinity Trigger aims to capture the feel of ’90s action RPGs, and also supports his two other friends as they “hack and slash your way to the gods.”
There is also a demo available for download from the Japanese eShop if you want to try it out before Western localization. Please note that you will need an account in this region.
