Hello PlayStation fans! This is Tsuyoshi Kanda, the producer of Resident Evil Village. Today we would like to share more information about the Winter’s Expansion DLC and the Resident Evil Village Gold Edition which includes both the base game and the Winter’s Expansion.
First, I would like to start with the new story DLC “Shadows of Rose”. Her Rose was still a baby when her father, Ethan Winters, saved her, risking her own life in the process. This story DLC features Rose fighting for her survival 16 years after the events of the original story. The game takes place in the realm of consciousness of the “Gigantea”.
This realm is a world lurking with many traps and monsters. However, Rose can only carry a pistol, a small amount of ammunition, and first aid medicine.
With few resources at hand, Rose has to use the very power she desperately wants to get rid of. Her unusual abilities can stop her enemies for a while and can also be used to destroy obstacles in her way.
By making good use of Rose’s power, you can carefully aim for the enemy’s weak points. Please experience Rose’s new survival style.
One of the terrifying enemies Rose encounters is known as the Face Eater. This is a dangerous creature that lurks in the realm of consciousness and can steal lives from other creatures.
Now let’s move on to third person mode. This mode has been a fan request since the original Resident Evil Village was released. Whether you’re playing The Village for the first time in the Gold Edition or played the original game, we believe you’ll not only enjoy this new mode, but it will give you a new perspective on Ethan’s animations.
In third-person mode, you can see Ethan in motion, not just when he’s being attacked. We believe we have delivered a new and unique type of horror experience that stands apart from the original first-person gameplay.
Finally, added a screenshot of The Mercenaries additional instructions. Look at the meters in these screenshots. You can see how Chris’ Onslaught Gauge, Lady D’s Thrill Gauge, and Heisenberg’s Charged Hammer are represented in-game.
On October 28th, the DLC “Winter’s Expansion” containing all the above three contents, and the “Resident Evil Village Gold Edition”, which is a set of the Winter’s Expansion and the main story, will be distributed. check it out!
