Earlier this week, the insider community came into the spotlight when YouTuber Dan Allen Gaming turned out to be the real face of TheRealInsider. ubisoft issued a statement, describing the Youtuber’s leak as “damaging and demoralizing”.

TheRealInsider first caught everyone’s attention when they correctly leaked all the Assassin’s Creed games before they were announced at Ubisoft Forward.He then followed these up with other supposed ‘leaks’, including details about Silent Hill and Metal Gear Solid, and turned out to be ‘bulls***’. While it only brought him the disappointment of fans who had hoped for a lie, the Assassin’s Creed leak has landed in Ubisoft’s hot water after he broke a non-disclosure agreement to reveal that information early. We regularly provide game access and information to our trusted partners under NDA. When that trust is breached or information is leaked by an individual, it not only damages and demoralizes the team, but also robs players of exciting revealing moments and experiences. We do not speak on individual cases, but we take these issues seriously and will deal with them accordingly.
Only time will tell what legal issues TheRealInsider faces from Ubisoft going forward. Anyway, I doubt he’ll be signing NDAs from anyone anytime soon. I’m telling you to go away and take a break.
