Once a hot topic among FPS fans, Halo’s popularity is wavering even among die-hard fans. From the beginning he helped push the FPS genre forward on home consoles and is often considered his one of the gold standards for his FPS on consoles. We’ve seen plenty of sequels, prequels, and spin-offs. Some were successful, some were not. Even the latest release, Halo Infinite, has drawn a lot of criticism for its handling of multiplayer modes and the lack of split-screen, Forge, and online co-op game modes, some of which were criticized nine months after launch. It’s no surprise that Halo Infinite didn’t set the world on fire because of these missing features that many expected at launch. Forge mode is due in November, along with several new maps, weapons, and multiplayer updates.
