What an exciting moment for PlayStation! Today, a new loyalty program, PlayStation Stars, will be launched for the first time in the region. We are excited to introduce this new initiative to the PlayStation community. This initiative will be launched first in Asia. This initiative celebrates player achievement with fun and entertaining campaigns and the ability to earn rewards such as points and digital collections.
This launch kicks off the global rollout of PlayStation Stars, but it’s just the beginning. We continue to evolve the program by adding new features, perks, perks, and ways to enjoy PlayStation that you love.

When will PlayStation Stars be released?
PlayStation Stars release dates are as follows:
- Asia including Japan: September 29th (local time)
- North and South America: October 5th (local time)
- Europe and Australia: October 13th (local time)
What do I need to join PlayStation Stars? Do I need a PlayStation Plus membership?
PlayStation Stars is free to join. All you need to do is have a PlayStation Network adult account and agree to the program’s terms and conditions. PlayStation Plus membership provides certain benefits, but you don’t need a PlayStation Plus membership to participate in PlayStation Stars.
How do I access PlayStation Stars?
All PlayStation Stars features are accessible through the PlayStation app on iOS and Android. You can also join PlayStation Stars. playstation.com.
There are plans to expand to console devices in the future.
How does the program work?
PlayStation Stars allows you to earn rewards by completing various campaigns and activities. Our “Monthly Check-Ins” campaign allows you to receive rewards just for playing the game. Other campaigns will ask you to win specific trophies or even be one of the first players to reach platinum for his blockbuster title in a country/region. His one of the first campaigns is called “Hit Play/1994”, where members who correctly launch the game matching song-based clues receive special collectibles.
Promotions are updated regularly, so be sure to check the PlayStation app for new promotions.
What rewards can I earn?
There are two types of rewards: loyalty points and digital collections. Points can be redeemed on PSN Wallet Funds, exclusive digital collections and catalogs including select PlayStation Store products. As an added benefit, PlayStation Plus members enrolled in PlayStation Stars will receive: playstation store.*
Digital Collectibles are beautiful digital representations of what PlayStation fans enjoy, including figures of beloved and iconic characters from games and other entertainment, as well as treasured devices that leverage Sony’s history of innovation. There are new collectibles you can earn regularly, super rare collectibles to put your effort into, or amazing things to collect just for fun.
Acquired or acquired digital collections can be displayed in display cases within the PlayStation app. You can also set the display case for others to see if you want.
All members will receive a Star Gazer Telescope just for joining at launch. His Punto of gondoliers such as Ape Escape 2, PocketStation, Toro and Kuro are celebrating as part of the first digital collection that members can earn or acquire.
Are digital collectibles one-of-a-kind? Can I sell or trade digital collectibles?
These digital collectibles were created exclusively for our loyalty program and while some are rare, they are not one-of-a-kind and do not leverage blockchain technology. Cannot be resold or traded. Digital Collections can only be earned or acquired through PlayStation Stars.
How can I check the rarity of my digital collection?
You can check the rarity of your digital collection on the campaign details screen and on the collection details page.
How do I track and redeem my points?
You can check your points balance in the PlayStation app under Player Profile / PlayStation Stars Points History. Points can be used to redeem items in the rewards catalog, including digital collectibles, games, or digital PSN wallet funds.
To redeem your points, go to PlayStation App > Player Profile > Playstation Stars > Rewards Catalog.
When I join PlayStation Stars, what benefits do I get as a PlayStation Plus member?
You don’t need a PlayStation Plus membership to participate in PlayStation Stars. However, if you join PlayStation Stars as a PlayStation Plus member, you will earn points for purchases made in the PlayStation Store, including each subscription payment for your PlayStation Plus membership. Please note that topping up your PSN Wallet does not count towards earning PlayStation Stars Points.
What are status levels?
PlayStation Stars has four stat levels that reflect the milestones you’ve reached. These are based on the number of non-common trophies earned through gameplay and full game purchases from the PlayStation Store. The higher your level, the more perks and benefits you get.
How long can I stay at my status level?
Once you reach a status level, you will remain at that status level for the remainder of the calendar year and an additional 13 months. For example, if you obtain Level 2 status in October, your Level 2 status is valid for the entire calendar year and is valid for 13 months from January 1st of the following year to January 31st of the following year.
