Iron Man has cast a long shadow over the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and new armor-themed content is about to begin. His one of the planned series, Armor Wars, will reportedly be a movie rather than a Disney+ series. hollywood reporter.
According to sources, in the process of trying to get the story right, the studio realized the feature was a better fit for the project. Just how meticulously Marvel Studios plans its slate of films could push the film forward, but we don’t know just how far. Yes, so far all we know is that Don Cheadle is set to reprise his role as James “Rhodey” Rose, a character he’s played since 2010’s Iron Man 2.
In Marvel Comics, the Armor Wars story begins when Tony Stark’s armor design is stolen and sold to Justin Hammer (Iron Man 2’s Sam Rockwell). Tony battles Stiltman, Shockwave, Doctor Doom and other villains to destroy stolen designs. Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, we can expect the movie to be quite different, whether or not it retains the planned Armor Wars title, but still many different Iron Man-inspired armor pieces. It could be a showcase.
Another Iron Man legacy project currently in the works is Ironheart, which follows the story of teenage inventor Lili Williams creating an Iron Man-style armor suit to fight the Hood. As evidenced by leaked set photos, Ironheart is already filming, so even if Armor Wars makes its way to the big screen, it will remain a Disney+ series. Lili will make her series debut in the upcoming film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, while Rhodey will appear ahead of Armor Wars in the Secret Invasion series.
