Over the last few years, Disney has released several live-action remakes of beloved animated classics. “The Jungle Book,” “Dumbo,” and “Beauty and the Beast” are just a few of those films, and in his September of this year, Pinocchio It was brought to life as a live-action retelling of the 1940 original.

But will there be a Pinocchio 2? Or has a potential sequel been swallowed by a whale?
Here’s what we know at the time of writing:
What is Pinocchio?
As in the 1940 original (and all other versions of Carlos Collodi’s classic work), the wooden puppet Pinocchio was brought to the blue by his lone maker Geppetto when he wished to have a son. brought to life by fairies.
Geppetto is overjoyed when Pinocchio moves around and begins to speak for himself, but the stringless puppet is not happy to be a talking puppet. He wants to be a real boy and, with the help of Jiminy Cricket, sets off on a series of adventures to prove to the Blue Fairy that he is worthy of being human.
Along the way, Pinocchio becomes entangled with the evil Stromboli and a giant sea monster, makes friends who are trustworthy and others who aren’t, and learns valuable life lessons on his journey of self-discovery.
Pinocchio won’t turn into a human boy at the end of the 2022 remake. If this is to be believed, we can see that Pinocchio has finally become a real boy.

Will there be Pinocchio 2?
there is No Pinocchio sequel news There is room for a sequel, albeit at this stage. As mentioned above, we won’t see Pinocchio becoming a human boy in Robert Zemeckis’ 2022 remake, so we’ll get to see his transformation if Pinocchio 2 is given the green light.
in an interview with varietyproducer Jacqueline Levine hinted that a sequel could happen when asked about the possibility of a “Pinocchio Cinematic Universe.”
“It’s hard to know. I guess we’ll have to see how this works. I hope people love it as much as we do. That’s the start of the next installment.” There’s definitely a place to go in this story, so we’re going to see that.”
Jacqueline’s nose didn’t grow, so it’s likely she’s really open to the possibility of Pinocchio 2.
What’s in Pinocchio 2?
Like we said, Pinocchio 2 will see the puppet transform into a human boy. Because of this, the Blue Fairy may give him another test to prove his worth.
I don’t think there will be a sequel, so it’s just speculation. But if enough people want the star of a sequel movie, Pinocchio 2 could finally be born, albeit with our low hopes.
Who could appear in Pinocchio 2?
If the sequel is given the green light, Tom Hanks could return as Geppetto, the kind old lumberjack. and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth are likely to return to lend their voices to Jiminy and Pinocchio.
Other cast members may also return, including Lewyn Lloyd, who starred as Lampwick in the first film. We really rely on people pulling strings at Disney because we can introduce members.
When will Pinocchio 2 be released?
If the original cast members return, we probably won’t see a sequel until 2024, as some of the main actors are working on many other projects.
