Nintendo has released the first trailer for the highly anticipated Super Mario Bros. movie. We can finally stop talking about Mario’s flat butt and talk more about what his face looks like on the big screen. Released, the Illumination movie is scheduled to arrive on April 7, 2023.
A special Nintendo Direct aired on YouTube also aired in the NYCC panel room. The animation for the movie is almost finished, and now it’s time to move on to the lighting. In the trailer, King his Bowser (Jack Black) and his Bowser Corps attach the familiar blue penguins from Mario 64. Of course, Mario (Chris Pratt) also pops up. Chris Pratt will voice Mario, along with Anya Taylor-Joy as Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, and Seth as Donkey Kong. A gorgeous cast such as Rogen appears. , Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong, Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek, and Sebastian Maniscalco as Spike. Charles Martinet, who has historically played Mario and Luigi in video games since 1992, makes a cameo appearance in an unknown role.
The Mario movie is set to hit theaters on April 7, 2023. Pratt says his Mario voice is “like nothing you’ve heard before.”
