update: Blizzard appears to have been hit by another wave of DDoS attacks shortly after temporarily removing Bastion and Torbjörn from the game.
In response to this, we decided to perform “emergency maintenance” of the server, but fortunately it seems that it has been restored now. Blizzard’s full bug report and current status of Game Over can be found at overwatch forum page.
original: overwatch 2 It launched on multiple platforms last week, including Nintendo Switch, but well… it hasn’t been a smooth rollout. The game’s servers were apparently hit by a “massive DDoS attack” upon release, and some users with prepaid phones also had trouble logging in.
Blizzard is still working out certain bugs here and there, and the latest update is the removal of two heroes from the game. I am going to an extent.
Bastion is currently unavailable in all modes. However, 5 Torbjorn is still playable in Quickplay.
Overwatch 2 is a free download on Nintendo Switch, but requires a Battle.net account to log in and play. First-time Overwatch players and Battle.Net users will also need to add additional information, such as a mobile phone number. For more information, previous coverage.
