New arenas, kits and more
Rocket League, which is about to celebrate its fifth anniversary on Switch, has been hit with a new update that addresses in-game bugs and adds new content.
This update adds two new arenas in addition to the Esports Shop. The game itself has also undergone changes and modifications, mainly centered around the “cage” ball his indicator.

Ver 2.1.1 – October 11th
New Arena: Block (Hoop)
- The Block Now Available in Private Matches, Exhibition Matches and Free Play
- Block will be available in online matches starting October 12
New Arena: Farm (Spooky)
- Farmstead (Spooky) is available for Private Matches, Exhibition Matches and Free Play
El Chaplin Colorado
- The El Chaplin Colorado Tub is in the Item Shop for a limited time

Changes and updates
Arena – ball indicator
- Added a version of the “cage” ball indicator (appears when the ball is on or near a wall) for Sovereign Heights, Salty Shores (Night), Neo Tokyo (all versions), and Starbase ARC (all versions). Has been updated.
- Cage ball indicators for these arenas match those already in use at Champions Field.
- Fixed cage ball indicators at Champions Field (Day) and Salty Shores (Night).
- The indicator features a colored outer ring for improved visibility in those bright arenas.
Arena – online match
- Neo Tokyo has been re-added to the online playlist
Bug fixes
- Fixed a bug that prevented bots from leaving the scoreboard when replaced by a human player
- Reverted Ford Bronco Raptor to Merc hitbox
- [Rumble] Fixed aiming reticle not remaining on screen during objective replay
- Fixed painted standard boost exhaust appearance
- Fixed Portuguese localization for “Nice Demo” Quick Chat
- Fixed display of notifications for players using 4:3 or 5:4 aspect ratio resolutions
- Fixed a bug where Honda Civic Type R wheels were granted to players who didn’t own the car
- Players who don’t own a vehicle but have wheels keep them
- [Nintendo Switch] Franko Fone: Fixed appearance of Inverted Wheels
- [Knockout] Splitscreen players are no longer kicked when the primary player/player 1 is eliminated from the match
- [PlayStation] Players are now properly notified with an error message when trying to unblock a player in the in-game friends list that is also blocked at the platform level
- Fixed visual bug in color picker menu when both controller and keyboard/mouse are connected.
