A 2019 PS4 game has unexpectedly received a PS5 trophy list, suggesting that a native current-gen version is on the way. The game is none other than acclaimed indie Sayonara Wild Hearts — a single-player rhythm action game developed by Simogo and published by Annapurna Interactive.
Sayonara Wild Hearts PS4 to PS5 upgrade has not been announced yet
Annapurna hasn’t announced a current-gen port for Sayonara Wild Hearts, which is already playable on PS5 via backwards compatibility. The game’s PS5 trophy list was picked up by PSNProfiles (thanks, PushSquare) and came as a surprise to fans.
The trophy lists for both the PS4 and PS5 versions of Sayonara Wild Hearts are the same, so players should be able to stack. It remains to be seen if the PS5 Platinum will auto-pop for those who’ve already unlocked it in the PS4 game.
In the past, PS4 to PS5 upgrades have been free for existing owners, so here’s hoping that’s the case here as well. Sayonara Wild Hearts is currently available in the PS Plus Extra library, but claiming that version will not entitle players to a free upgrade unless Sony decides to add the PS5 port to the catalog.
We’ll update our readers when we have more information.
