Another game featuring the Joker, but not the kind you’re used to.
The first licensed professional wrestling game on Switch since 2017.
The long-discussed game based on the new All Elite Wrestling (AEW) promotion known as AEW Fight Forever has finally revealed platforms including Switch. No release date was given for the game, but the publisher was announced as his THQ Nordic. In its first iteration, THQ published games based on the now defunct World Championship Wrestling (1996 – 1998) and World Wrestling Entertainment (formerly World Wrestling Federation). Fight Forever is developed by Yukes, who previously developed his WWE game for THQ.
Fight Forever match types include a barbed wire death match and AEW’s trademark casino battle royale (20 competitors based on card suit in timed groups of 5 each, with a final (Battle Royale, in which the contestant participates alone as the “Joker”). Online cooperative play also appears in tag matches.
The AEW Fight Forever gameplay showcase will air on August 12th.
