Popular Twitch streamer and OnlyFans content creator Amouranth said in an impassioned tearstream on Saturday that she was manipulated and abused by her husband. She said her husband, whose name hasn’t been released, coerced her into streaming, threatened to harm her dog, and hijacked her finances and bank accounts.
“I basically live in a fancy prison,” Amoranth said on a livestream.
Amouranth’s stream has since been removed from Twitch, but the clip has been widely shared on Twitter and YouTube.

During the livestream, Amoranth said her husband saw the hot tub meta (a Twitch subgenre where people stream in bikinis in hot tubs) “as an opportunity” to reveal to viewers that she’s married. Because doing so “ruins the business model.”
Amouranth shared a close-up view of the phone showing the text thread she said was between her and her husband. The messages pictured called the recipient “ridiculous” and included threats such as “throwing away luggage”, throwing “merchandise” from balconies, and deleting Amouranth’s social media for her. Threats of more serious financial abuse and threats to kill Amorans dogs are also part of the text. Amouranth also shared footage of a broken doorknob and she said she couldn’t lock the door because her husband broke the doorknob.

In the stream, Amoranth also spoke on the phone with a man she said was her husband. Her male voice was heard screaming at her and she denied that she said she was going to kill her dog. “I’ll give you one last chance,” said the man on the phone. “I am going to destroy everything irrevocably.”
On Monday, Amouranth’s content lead Marz tweeted that Amouranth “said she was fine,” adding, “Police have been called out multiple times since 5am yesterday.”

Polygon has reached out to Amouranth and her content lead Marz via email for comment, but has yet to hear back.

With the arrival of the hot tub meta in 2021, harassment of Amouranth has gained momentum. There are exceptions to Twitch’s terms. Nudity and Clothing Policy, stated, “Streamers may appear in swimsuits depending on the situation.” In May 2021, Twitch created a “pool, hot tub, beach” category for such streams.
