Since we announced the game in June, we have started collecting player feedback so that we can ship the best possible version of the game when it releases next year. The effort began with a small council of internal stakeholders, and then Ara: The Untold History insider programrecently completed its first external technical alpha.
After hearing and digesting a lot of great feedback from the first group of technical alpha participants, we learned quite a bit about where we think the game is and where we need to go from here. As you can see in the infographic below, the first technical alpha player has been busy crafting, researching, and even winning.
So where is the team currently focusing? Improving the user interface (UI) and streamlining the new user experience were already high on the list of items we were working on, but the great feedback we’ve received from our players has led to , could bring more attention to these areas. Other high priority items we are focusing on improving include the crafting and quest system.
The majority of the feedback we received and addressed was shown to those who participated in the first alpha, and will help everyone from the next test onwards start to understand how fun it is to play the game.
