I can’t think of a game that has spent more time on its prerelease than Street Fighter 6. I was lucky enough to play at IGN’s special event after going through ranked matchmaking in two betas late into the night. So I can confidently say that the core combat in Street Fighter 6 is going to be great. But that’s just the beginning, and a recently released demo gave us a little taste of everything else the full game has to offer. Here are my final impressions of pre-launch Street Fighter 6 to cover, as well as thoughts on one…
Stephen King’s Salem’s Lot Chapter after chapter describes the cast of characters and the Maine town in which they live. King spends much of his time sketching the history and culture of the populace before it is revealed that the vampires have come to make their home their new feeding ground, which is why many monsters are his. It’s the approach taken in the story. Before he gets preyed on by vampires, he gives audiences plenty of reason to care. red fall, Arkane Austin’s latest, reverses this setting, introducing players to the titular fictional Massachusetts island after vampires have already…
I really can’t believe Capcom did this. It’s a giant fighting game with a classic arcade mode, bottomless tutorials and training options, and a variety of new combat mechanics that all seem to gel. Then there’s the cheesiest, most ridiculous story mode in fighting game history. Capcom built what was essentially one of Sega’s Like-A-Dragon (aka Yakuza) games, but they made Gangster their own quirky who lives to fight and thinks Chun-Li is just as cool as I am. I replaced it with a nice NPC.Love is the only word here that is cheesy and absurd. Rather than taking deadly…
A month ago we released our little fishing game Dredge on PS5 and PS4 and were overwhelmed by the positive response. Thank you for enjoying fishing in The Marrows…and exploring the dangerous waters beyond. Today we announced that we have more Eldritch experiences planned for Dredge throughout the year, including three free updates and a new paid adventure featuring the Ironhaven Corporation, an entity that some of the game’s inhabitants have mentioned passing by. I am happy that I can. Details are explained in depth below. One of the most requested features by our users is in-game map enhancements. We…

I’m very late to the Final Fantasy IV (or, as I used to know, Final Fantasy II, the original Super Nintendo incarnation) party: I didn’t finish the game until 2000 for the first time The increasingly imprecisely named Final Fantasy game is the one I’ve replayed most often, so when the opportunity arose to review it, I took it. The Pixel Remaster format lacks a few things, but it still holds up. Bard Status: Still Spoony. Final Fantasy IV certainly starts off with a bang, as hero Cecil is being attacked by monsters right after the jump when he returns…

Mankind will return to the moon! NASA’s Artemis program will send a large number of astronauts to the moon’s surface over the next few years., initially for lunar business, but later began working on an eventual journey to Mars. It’s an exciting one, but as this art series shows, it doesn’t hurt to pack in a few extra pieces…read more…
I never liked sinking my teeth into Redfall before its release date. That’s partly because I’m new to co-op shooter/immersive sim mashups (see my ongoing review for more). I’m happy to report that that situation has changed, at least for mid- to high-end hardware.Just a few days ago things looked bleak. On my pretty respectable i5 12600K, RTX 3070 rig, with DLSS performance mode enabled, as a baseline for 1440p media he averaged an fps in the mid-50s. While working on a few early missions with fellow his PC gamer editor Tyler Colp, this generally poor performance is everyone’s favorite…
