Tens of millions of mobile phone users in Japan were unable to connect during most of the weekend, which is considered the worst outage in history in the country in terms of the number of lines affected. According to mobile operator KDDI, the turmoil began early Saturday and lasted until Sunday, but some users still had problems on Monday.
