I’m a staunch defender of the dull, the drab, the plain, the ‘oh yeah, I didn’t notice that.’ And nothing has reminded me of my proclivity towards all things seemingly mundane than Computex 2025 and all the resultant ooh-ing and aah-ing over extravagant tech.I know, I know, tech shows are supposed to be gaudy and extravagant, and they are just so every year, but these consumerist fever dream pills never get easier to swallow. In fact, as I get older, it gets more difficult. What am I talking about? Everything from AIO shelves for displaying figurines, a million-and-one screens attached to…

We made it, everybody. We’ve reached the end of HBO’s The Last of Us. Wait, sorry, I’m getting word in my earpiece that…we’re only halfway done with it because this show’s going for four seasons. At this point, I’m mostly feeling deflated. Last week’s episode was such a catastrophic bummer that it cemented for me that the show fundamentally misunderstands The Last of Us Part II, the game this season and those that are still yet to come are adapting. Please, Touch the Artwork 2 is a relaxing puzzle game for the Nintendo Switch. It takes the hidden-object concept and adds interactive elements involving artwork, skeletons, and minigames. It might be short and sweet, but it’s an immensely enjoyable ride while it lasts. The concept is simple. You play the role of a sophisticated skeleton who rises from the grave to explore paintings. You move this otherworldly art connoisseur by walking within the paintings themselves. The pieces of artwork connect with each other, allowing you to move through each set of 20 or so paintings to discover missions and minigames. …

At PC Gamer we occasionally run tabletop RPG campaigns remotely, with senior editor Robin Valentine as our long-suffering GM. I like to think of my role as ‘agent of chaos’—all scrapes and japes.Maybe I’ll sacrifice myself to save everyone on a dying space station. Maybe I’ll betray everyone and kill a former guides editor. Maybe I’ll just derail a Star Wars-themed RPG by constantly describing how bad my Duros character smells (it’s all in the lore, folks).(Image credit: Disney)I adore the messy antics, but equally I am smitten with how weird our stories get, as a bunch of very extra…
