Bayonetta 3 has been one of the most anticipated games on Nintendo Switch for several years now. Since it was announced at The Game Awards in 2017, only ports of the first two games have been available. We were finally able to see the game in action in the summer of 2021 and ensured it wasn’t vaporware, but still most of the game’s features remained a complete mystery.
Until recently, Bayonetta 3 finally reached its release date and got some brilliant new information for fans to enjoy.
In Bayonetta 3, Umbrawitch combines a familiar face with a new face, the Viola, to put an end to the mysterious horror of evil called the Homunculus. These new bad guys are considered artificial biological weapons, and according to Viola, the hope of defeating them lies with a scientist named Sigurd. Little is known about who Viola is, but the trailer on the release date suggests a relationship between the character and Luka. But she’s a sword-wielding playable character, and she has a companion cat named Chesher, so we’re sure we have enough time to reveal everything about Viola. ..
Besides Luka, there are familiar faces such as Jeanne, Rodin and Enzo.
That’s almost everything we’ve been given about the plot, as the developer PlatinumGames has been silent about many details over the years. However, some places players visit in Bayonetta 3 include Tokyo and China. Fans have a theory as to why the main character of the game defeats the enemy in the middle of the Shibuya area, but you have to wait for the official words from Platinum before jumping into everything.
