Episode 5 of Blind begins at the Hope Welfare Center. Children continue to be pushed to their limits and forced to work hard. Sung-Joon and other children find small moments of happiness. That means cleaning the bathroom or splashing water on each other.
However, they quickly stop when Sergeant Choi appears. He quickly grabs one of them and forces the child to clean everything with his tongue. Otherwise he intends to break the skull in half.
Moon-Kang arrives next and walks around the room, telling them that a visitor is coming soon and that he doesn’t want the incident that happened three years ago to repeat itself. Here, one of her children passed a note asking for help. Crazy Dog steals Yoon-jae’s (Sung-joon?) necklace, so number 11 gives it to Yoon-jae instead.
Now battered and covered in blood, Sung-joon finds a phone booth and ponders who to call. The police cannot be called as they are in collusion with Mungan. So who? Well, Eun Gi.
Sung-Joon still has her business card in his pocket, so he shiveringly holds out his business card and decides to give her the ring. He tells her to be careful of her and gives her payphone address. When she arrives it is covered in blood. An exhausted Sung-joon hides under a tarp. She takes him in the back of her car, but has a problem. A black car is approaching. It’s Munkan.
Thankfully, Eun-gi thinks quickly and pretends to hide in the back seat, pretending to be drunk when Mun-kang opens the door and looks for her. Considering Mun-kang has a knife, Eun-ki realizes Sung-joon is in trouble.
Anyway, Yeom is not happy to learn that Sung-Joon slipped through Moon-Kang’s fingers. As a result, Moon-kang doubles down on trying to find Sung-joon, returning to Eun-ki’s car, which happens to have the Children’s Center logo advertised everywhere. Why did she take the car to work?Anyway, it doesn’t look good to Eun Ki who doesn’t know what will happen when she tries to patch up Sung Joon.
A package from “Man Chun” was sent to Sung Hoon, which happened to be a knife with a message attached. Upon opening it, Sung-hoon finds that it reads, “Murderer who convicted an innocent man.” This only raises the stakes further, as the police work to find Sung Joon, who they believe is responsible for murdering Man Chun’s family and is the Joker’s real killer. Not only that, but Wong Woon was also killed.
Sung-joon is shocked when he learns of the boy’s death online. He calls Seokgu, one of the officers on duty, and asks for the cause of death, which happens to be suffocation. He can’t call the guy again because his boss knows very little about the secret phone call, but it’s at least something to cooperate with.
The most important thing now is for Sung-joon to try to clear his name, and Eun-ki is a key part of that. I have. There is also a button on Sung Joon’s sleeve by the railing of the roof, revealing that this was actually Sung Joon’s.
Did the pair wrestle over the controls that lead to Man Chun being pushed off the roof? That’s certainly a theory Sung Hoon is working on now.
Moon Gang shows up at the children’s center, determined to find Sung Joon. He is not alone either, and Mun-kang starts cheering around while Sung-joon is hiding. He’s in the attic, so thankfully they won’t find Sung-Joon, but it’s definitely a touch and go for a while.
Alone, Sung-joon is actually overheard talking to Eun-ki about admitting he was adopted by Sung-hoon’s family and how they regret this decision. To them, their public image is more important than the welfare and happiness of Sung Joon that we have seen first hand.
Eun-ki agrees to try to help and bumps into Sung-hoon in court. She handed him a note from Sung-hoon, asked him for help, asked to meet at 7pm, and begged him to believe his brother that he didn’t kill anyone. , it is returned to Munkan and the cops. They have a lot of police on the case and at the meeting he confirms that the area is surrounded by police.
Sung-Joon steps into a trap and is forced to flee the police. Thankfully he did, and he’s back in the children’s center attic. Sung-Joon bows his head and realizes that he’s really alone and his little brother won’t help him… or is he?
episode review
Blind’s interesting and somewhat understated episode seems to indicate that Sung-hoon isn’t the Joker’s murderer after all, and that he intends to help Sung-joon. 11. Sung Joon clearly has a lot of respect for him and it is possible that he allowed Sung Joon to join his family and perhaps something happened that soured their relationship. Either way, it’s a tantalizing mystery.
There isn’t much plot progression this time around, but it’s a nice reminder that Sung-Joon is truly lonely. This is obviously a very personal case, especially given that whoever this killer is, they are targeting Sung Joon. . Let’s see how it goes!
For now, the blinds set things up beautifully for the next episode. This should be a very interesting watch.
