This kind of death is a tragedy that millions of people have experienced in real life, but the film infuses it into stock emotion. boogeyman I didn’t reinvent the wheel, but the second shock made my giddy grief worse. Shortly after Lester calls Will for help, he is found strangled at his doctor’s home. Police ruled the death to be a suicide. Will believes they are right. Sawyer knows it’s the Boogeyman, and Sadie learns of its existence when the malevolent entity becomes known to the entire family.
