Activision is reportedly aiming for early August to pull back the curtain on its next Call of Duty game. The FPS’s name is still unknown at this point, but it’s believed to be spearheaded by Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, WWII, and Vanguard developer Sledgehammer Games.
insider game There is precedent for this model as Sledgehammer’s Call of Duty: Vanguard was announced inside Warzone in August 2021. If so, Call of Duty 2023 could be teased with Warzone 2. Anyway, this timeframe rules out FPS popping up at the rumored PlayStation Showcase later this month.
Activision declined to comment when contacted by GameSpot.
Call of Duty 2023 was previously reported as a full game connecting to the Modern Warfare subseries previously led by developer Infinity Ward. In October he has two rumored betas scheduled for his weekend. The unnamed game will likely launch on November 10th.
Last year’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was unveiled in June with a worldwide trailer, followed by gameplay footage at the Summer Games Fest. Modern Warfare 2 set a sales record for the franchise that dates back to his 2003.
Another new nugget reported is that Call of Duty 2023 will feature zombies, but will likely be in a different capacity.
