Activision encourages players to engage in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s campaign by including significant multiplayer unlocks within single player.
call of duty blog post It outlines the 17 individual rewards players can earn by completing campaign missions, including Operators Hutch, Chuy, Reyes, and Nova. You’ll also get double XP boosts, unique calling cards and emblems, and Captain Price’s M4 Weapon Blueprint.
Activision hasn’t revealed if these are campaign-exclusive items or if they can be unlocked eventually by playing multiplayer.
However, it advertised the campaign’s early access digital pre-order bonuses, which meant that the campaign (and thus all these mission rewards) would be sold before Modern Warfare 2 officially launched on October 28th. It can be unlocked. Players who have pre-ordered it from the PlayStation or Xbox stores can therefore immediately enter multiplayer with a special unlock and a double XP boost.

Modern Warfare 2 is still two weeks away, but players are already cautious about launching as the game appears to include Overwatch 2’s controversial phone number requirement. and enemy visibility were also raised after the beta, but developer Infinity Ward has promised to address the issue ahead of the full release.
