Morases Flood lays off staff for ‘Witcher’ spin-off reorientation
Last week, the CD Project Board of Trustees announced that Molasses had completed a redefinition of the Project Sirius framework. While I was happy to hear that Project Sirius was on the right track again, I started getting tweets from former Morases Flood employees saying they had been fired from the company.
CD Projekt has confirmed that 29 employees have been laid off as a result of the new changes.in a statement to PC gamerCD Project said, “As the project has changed, so has the composition of the team working on it. Mainly on The Molasses Flood side. The specific number of employees we parted with are 21 US team members, Eight members of the Polish team.” (I’m working on a project outside of the United States.)
Project Sirius is one of several new games set in The Witcher universe announced last year, including The Witcher 4, codenamed Polaris and codenamed Canis Majoris.
