For a few weeks in December each year, Epic gives away new free games on the Epic Game Store (opens in new tab) every day. This year already includes some great perks, like the nostalgia Fallout game and his Christmas Eve gift Metro: Last Light Redux. But wow, Christmas day is in full swing: Epic released Death Stranding: Director’s Cut for free on December 25th.
We are Strand Game Appreciators here at PC Gamer. Death Stranding was GOTY of 2020 (opens in new tab)and we appreciated all the extras (opens in new tab) The Director’s Cut is an addition to an already great game. It only released on PC this year, so even though the base game is three years old, this will be a very fresh giveaway for Epic.
Earlier this year, we reflected on how the pandemic has affected our experience (opens in new tab) in Death Stranding. Now we know a sequel is in the works (opens in new tab)hopefully it will star more incredibly named characters (opens in new tab).
