Dell is back with a new webcam. No arms or legs this time.completely new Dell Pro Webcam A cheaper alternative to last year’s digital high end webcamfor just $135, offers QHD resolution, HDR support, motion tracking, a noise-cancelling mic, and more.
In fact, the new Dell Pro Webcam offers most of the Ultrasharp Webcam’s features for $65 less. The main difference is resolution. Last year’s Ultrasharp Webcam captures 4K video, while the new Ultrasharp Webcam reaches QHD 2560 x 1440. Dell calls this a “2K resolution” for simplicity, but it’s actually a higher resolution than his standard 2K.
Another notable downgrade is the narrower FOV of 65 or 78 degrees from 90 degrees on the 4K model. For some reason, Dell opted for a USB-A cable in its new Pro Webcam. You probably expect to connect this webcam to the built-in USB port of your dock or monitor.
Like the Ultrasharp Webcam, the new Pro Webcam has a barrel design that can be fixed on top of your monitor. It also has a privacy shutter and works with the Dell Peripheral Manager that can be used to adjust webcam settings.
of Dell Pro Webcam Available now for $135. For what it’s worth, Dell says this webcam is certified for both Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
