Hello astronauts! Thank you for listening to this exciting new announcement. In his first post on the PS Blog, he announced that he was reimagining Sega’s arcade and console icons for single, co-op, and competitive gameplay (PlayStation VR2 only). The response has been overwhelming.
Today, as promised, we’re launching a free-to-play demo.
You can pre-order the game at a discounted price before the full game launches on June 23, 2023.
Our games are made by a true dream team of developers, artists and musicians. This team is scattered all over a small blue ball spinning in a corner of the galaxy. Your support means the world to us. In the meantime, let me tell you a little more about what’s in store for both the demo and the full release.
What’s in the demo?
tutorial
When you load the game for the first time, you are immediately transported to the world of C-Smash VRS. Designed so that you can easily pick it up and play with it, you can become one with your virtual body and relax in a stylish space on the edge of time.
C-Smash VRS feels natural. Tutorials provide guidance and general tips for playing in a few simple steps. Don’t forget to learn the Trick Smash, designed to attract hard-to-reach highballs and hit them with overwhelming power and accuracy.
Notable Features – If you want to switch hands, you can do so in the menu – left-handed, right-handed or ambidextrous, we’ve got you sorted!
training
Most training modes are meant to teach, but this single player mode is a fun, engaging and addictive challenge.
Crush blocks of different strengths, increase your score and enjoy dynamic music.
Arenas are made up of grids of dots that pulsate and ripple with gameplay. This is reflected in the vibration of your hands and head, giving you the shock of a timely return and the ripple of a missed shot, ready to serve.
A bright and beautiful universe awaits. PSVR 2’s OLED display brings a minimalist yet vibrant color palette to life. Design has become more physical and present than ever before.
Training mode gives you a bit of a full release journey mode experience. You can also play co-op with a friend in this mode. This will bring up the demo multiplayer mode.
versus
You can play with your friends or against players from all over the world. *
PlayStation Activity Cards allow players who haven’t played the game yet to jump in and join friends in a multiplayer session. Join your friends in the Cosmic Shuttle to play Clash, the fast-paced multiplayer VS mode included in the demo.
The objective is to destroy other players’ blocks and protect your own.
With the power and speed of the PlayStation 5, you can jump right into the match with seconds to go before your next rematch.
C-Smash VRS can be played sitting or standing. The game automatically adjusts for player height. We don’t want anyone to be disadvantaged or left behind.
Unlike many other sports and online games, C-Smash VRS is designed to make you feel good even when you “lose”.
The greats Ken Ishii (Rez Infinite) and Danalogue (frontman of The Comet is Coming and Soccer 96) have each written amazing soundtracks for the game, including dynamic and perfectly transportable tracks. Sport and music have never felt so good together.
In an ideal world, you would never realize you had your best workout, alone or with friends. in space.
what’s coming
Demos are just a small part of our game, with an epic journey mode, a sweat-and-joy-inducing Infinity mode, and various Co-Op and Versus modes.
There are also other features mapped for full titles, such as 3D audio soundscapes and full use of adaptive triggers.
