This is, I think we can all agree, a sneaky move. The community responded quickly and counter (opens in new tab) Whisper chat, fireteam chat, local, team, clan… turn off all chats to exploit. After several hours of effort, the developer decided to stop texting his Bungie chat.

At this time, it is unknown when Destiny 2 will return to text chat. For now, it’s gone, and given the timeframe involved, it’s possible we won’t get a real fix until the Destiny 2 team returns to the office on Monday.
