The annual Destiny 2 Guardian Games event returns in 2023. It comes with some tweaks, new rewards to earn, and event cards. As always, this is a class-based event with Titans vs. Warlocks vs. Hunters vying for next year’s bragging rights. Here’s a rundown of what you need to know about earning medallions, scoring in Hegemony mode, and getting the new Scout Rifle, Exotic Sparrow, and Heir Appearing Catalyst.
How to start Guardian Game
To get started, visit the Tower and speak with Eva Levante. The tower is decked out in vaguely Olympic-inspired decorations, making Eva the main vendor for the entire event.

Medallions are the currency used to lead your class to victory and earn rewards. Also note that class items are required to progress on certain bounties offered by Eva.

The first real task is an event challenge to earn medallions and redeem them at the tower kiosk. Dive into Crucible quick matches or whatever activity you like. Once you’ve done that, head back to the Tower and visit the podium behind Eva. Visit the node corresponding to your class and accumulate the medallions you’ve earned to complete this quest step and contribute to your class progress. .
