- Actually looking at the camera in selfie mode
Here are the full patch notes for tomorrow. No information about new content, just tweaks and updates, so don’t worry about spoiling the surprise.
Uncharted Regions Mission Update Patch Notes
new function
- Currently fully compatible with Steam Decks and verified by Steam.
- Optimized game stability on all platforms. In particular, we’ve focused on optimizing the experience on Nintendo Switch, and players should feel smoother now. We will continue to evaluate the performance of each platform and drive further improvements and optimizations in future updates as part of Early Access.
- It’s getting cold outside, so we’ve updated many of the fireplaces in Dreamlight Valley to allow manual lighting. The exceptions are the Corner Tavern Fireplace, Cozy Fireplace, Antique Hearth, and Celestial Fireplace.
- Kristoff has expanded his stall inventory to include a wider range of items (Hmm⊠it might contain an iron ingot).
- Improved wood distribution in all biomes. This change makes wood found in each biome less random. The spawn rate is slightly lower than before, but each biome has a fixed set of wood that can spawn and appear in consistent amounts, taking the guesswork out of gathering.
- Enhanced the creature’s stomach to allow more treats to be shared. Critters can now be fed by him multiple times per day.
- Reduced game loading time on all platforms.
- Reduced game install size.
- Improved loading of in-game assets to improve player performance.
- Deployed optimizations to reduce the chance of frame drops caused by certain animations.
- Improved performance and memory usage for large gardens (50+ plants) while gardening.
- Removed “dry plant” VFX to improve game performance.
- Optimized various VFX to improve game performance.
- Fixed a memory leak that caused slow performance and crashes in certain circumstances.
- Improved items limit feedback in furniture edit mode by adding a second on-screen counter. The upper counter Wrong Items placed in the trough are tracked by a counter at the bottom total The number of items that contain duplicates. As before, it should be clearer when these limits are reached. As before, when either limit is reached, no more items (either unique or total items, respectively) can be placed in the trough until the player removes items to make room.
Bug fixes
- All avatars now have the same animation speed. Specifically, you’ll notice that the crop watering and cooking animations have been updated to reflect this.
- I have verified that the Critters are not plotting against you. Critters that have been fed and befriended now correctly appear in the collection menu.
- No more camera shy! Avatar now always looks at the camera when in selfie mode.
- Fixed an occasional softlock when pressing the back button to the title screen.
- Collection menus now update correctly when new resources are collected.
- “Deal with Ursula” quest: Players who have picked up the Dark Crystal before should be able to complete the quest.
- “Photo Fervor” quest: The Elephant Graveyard can now be photographed properly.
- “The Dreamlight Fountain” quest: Festive ribbons are now correctly recognized when placed near the fountain.
- “A Piece of His World” Quest: Players encountering Blocker will find that Nautilus consumables have been returned. This should unlock progression.
- “Lair Sweet Lair” Quest: When Goofy renovates his house, he accidentally misplaces a quest-critical piece of paper. It was recovered and returned to its original location in his home.
- “Peacemaker” Quest: Improved palm tree collision issues to reduce the chance of leader debris and other items getting stuck in palm trees.
The Missions in Uncharted Space update will be available for download tomorrow, December 6th.
