report from variety Earl Bowen, the original voice of Monkey Island’s main antagonist Captain Luchuck, has died at the age of 81 after being diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer late last year.
Besides starring in the Monkey Island series until 2010, Boen voiced characters and narrated games. world of warcraft, metal gear solid 2 (Sergei Gurlkovich), Baldur’s Gate When Psychonauts (butcher).
Outside of VA’s long list of roles in video games, he was perhaps best known as criminal psychologist Dr. Peter Silverman in the Terminator movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. He has also voiced animated characters such as Clifford’s ‘Really Big His Movie’ and ‘Kim Possible’, and has appeared in series such as ‘Seinfeld’ and ‘Star Trek’.
