Elden Ring is getting a board game adaptation thanks to a collaboration between Bandai Namco and Steamforged Games. Elden Ring publisher Bandai Namco and board game developer Steamforged have previously collaborated on the Dark Souls board game, with Steamforged also creating adaptations such as Horizon, Resident Evil, and Monster Hunter.
according to steam forged, the board game’s Kickstarter campaign is launching soon. We don’t yet know exactly how the board game will play out, but it will support 1-4 Tarnished players visiting iconic locations in The Lands Between, the massive world of Elden Ring.
Players will also face off against the game’s enemies and bosses, “in diceless combat, where players must strategize and adapt their plans with each encounter”. Or have to deal with enemies, including the transplanted king himself.
In 2018, Steamforged Games’ Dark Souls board game hit its Kickstarter funding goal in just three minutes. Given the incredible speed of the game itself this year, we’ll have to wait and see if Elden Ring can break that record.
It’s not the only FromSoftware smash hit adaptation we’ve seen recently. Earlier this month, Elden Ring got an official cartoon, a comedic take on Tarnished and The Lands Between.
Elden Ring is the most talked about game of 2022. Scored 10 in reviews. Elden Ring also topped both our lists for the best PlayStation 5 games and the best Xbox Series X|S games. Elden Ring has become a Twitch phenomenon, in part thanks to her iconic player Let Me Solo Her.
