He came back 20 minutes later and we are already upset.
20 min.
How much chaos can you create in 20 minutes? Sure, you can set fire loudly in a crowded building or an equally dangerous place, but it can cause chaos and chaos among a few people. Please do. It’s much harder.
Welcome back, John Lindemann.
He has adopted a new “scorched earth” target for 2023. I have two questions.
- How long do you think his toothless memory will allow him to hold onto this pledge?
- How is this different from the last 200 years we’ve been doing this show?
Anyway, he applies this new mantra to his new business, Atari 50: the Anniversary Celebration. As it happens, this bundle has his NWR approval (and his website cited – finally done). Jon agrees with the enthusiastic praise of the site. He then details very legal backups that are kept for the amount of time legally allowed when talking about emulation on Steam decks. The relevant authorities must be notified and he must be stopped.
… I think the relevant authorities.
Guillaume wants you to buy a pinball. And he will be evangelizing about the sale of his Pinball FX3 bundles available now. We are not sponsored, but we should be. Zen Studio, please call us. He also spends some more time on Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. Note James for future articles: Rabbids and Sparks are plural. There is no colon in the subtitle. It’s a plus sign (+) instead of an ampersand (&). Ubisoft, this is why the sales were disappointing.
Also, call Ubisoft.
James literally spent 30 minutes deciding whether or not she wanted to talk about Needy Streamer Overlord on the show. It’s a very strange game about effectively controlling someone’s life. Is that cute too? This will resonate with some people, and for a subset of them, it will resonate in a potentially negative way.
Greg concludes New Business with a quick talk about the last Splatoon 3 Splatfest. The theme this time is “spicy, sweet, sour”. To be honest, Team Sour almost got trampled like Pamplona. sour? In a game for children? Nintendo, what the hell? Let’s at least be reasonably fair here and keep the sibilance we created: “Spicy, Sweet, Salty.” boom. Children like salty food.
And personally? Spicy, Sweet, and Salty got tattoos on their chests, so this my 2023 mantra.
After my break, I dig into my mailbag. It still contains many elements, but tends to come together in similar themes. This week we talk about whether Tears of the Kingdom can or will reuse the same world as Breath of the Wild. Several People you didn’t like (e.g. fragile weapons) come back. It’s also trying to figure out why Microsoft is willing to spend roughly 22 times what Disney paid Marvel to secure Activision Blizzard.
Call us, Microsoft.
As usual, we continue to sell. Would you like to make an offer? We are here for business inquiries (and questions).
