When a new expansion for Destiny 2 releases, you can usually expect to dive into the larger story, engage in seasonal activities, and most importantly, launch new hunts for exotic loot. Lightfall introduces a new arsenal of firearms that offers the highest quality gear, powerful armor, and unique perks found in Destiny 2. Each Exotic has its own unique look and characteristics, and when combined with Destiny 2’s Build Craft system, there’s usually a powerful setup you can explore to maximize your Guardian’s skills and personal playstyle.
In Lightfall, some of these Exotics will focus on the new Strand subclass. Bungie has only shown off a handful of new Exotics so far, but it looks like these new tools are set to give a powerful boost to Guardian arsenals. You can expect more Exotics to become available through the reward track. If you’re up for the challenge, challenging Raids, Legendary Lost Sectors, and Dungeons will get you this powerful piece of gear.
One of the Lightfall Exotics has actually been around for months, as Bungie offered the auto rifle Quicksilver Storm as a pre-order bonus for that expansion. At its base level, the weapon can deal versatile damage to anything in your path. Can fire high-impact kinetic rounds, fire his mini-rocket homing on consecutive hits, and transform into a powerful grenade his launcher. For those who already have the weapon, that his Exotic Catalyst will be available in his Lightfall, adding a new Strand effect to their builds.
