See, you guys aren’t supposed to “extend Kong”…
Nintendo’s latest game recreates the infamous experience of online console gaming, especially the Xbox 360 version of Uno.
With support for mobile devices, Everybody 1-2 Switch includes an option for players using smartphones as controllers to upload any photo from their phone to use as an avatar. There doesn’t seem to be any sort of filtering going on, for example if the player who uploaded the photo finished in the top 3 in a particular minigame, they would see an offensive image.you can find an example hereHowever, Nintendo World Report staff have seen it happening on several Twitch streams for the game.
Nintendo has yet to comment on the matter, but it’s unclear what steps they can take to prevent the images from being displayed other than disabling the unlimited upload option. Even though the Switch has a hardware-level block list for languages that is frequently updated, we’ve seen similar situations using racial or sexual slurs in games that allow text input.
