Graphics card prices have been trending downwards for some time now, but there is one card that remains at a premium price. RTX3090Ti (opens in new tab), card monsters in almost every measure. At $1,999, it wasn’t a card most people would consider buying, but if you really want one, Get it for just $1,149 (opens in new tab).
The EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti FTW3 Gaming (say 10x faster) was originally listed for $2,149, so the $1,000 price drop is impressive. It wasn’t in stock at the time of writing, but the higher-clocked FTW3 Ultra Gaming is just $50 more expensive at $1,199 and is in stock.Whether it continues depends on people’s enthusiasm (opens in new tab) How to buy a high-end GPU near the launch of the RTX 40 series (opens in new tab) in the coming months.
If you want the best RTX 30 card of all, the RXT 3090 Ti. It uses a fully enabled GA102 GPU with 10,752 CUDA cores, 84 dedicated ray tracing (RT) cores, and 336 Tensor cores. Add to that 24GB of fast GDDR6X and you get one heckuva card and one that doesn’t suddenly feel slow even after the next-gen cards hit the market.
EVGA’s 3090 Ti graphics card comes with Nvidia’s ‘Face Your Demons game’ bundle including Ghostwire: Tokyo (opens in new tab)Doom Eternal (opens in new tab), and Doom Eternal Year One Pass. Not a bad value add on top of the massive discounts on the card itself.
The bigger question is whether this is a limited-time special by EVGA or the start of a bigger trend. EVGA may be taking a smart approach to clearing out high-end inventory before it becomes a problem.
Graphics card prices are still trending downwards, but not as dramatically as they were a few months ago, probably due to rising logistics costs and inflation. I think there is
Any chance of a sub-$1,000 RTX 3090 Ti? Back in the months when the 3090 non-Ti was $3,000+, I would have laughed at the suggestion. But if next-gen cards live up to the hype (opens in new tab)Even the $1,000 3090 Ti may seem overpriced. It’s certainly an interesting time for the GPU market.
