with this special look unscrupulous, Mr. Keegan (Donnell) sits at a bar and has a drink with the talkative and intrusive Reverend Mackenzie Boyd (PJ Byrne). The pastor believes the universe is sending him signs about their encounter, but Keegan quickly shuts down the idea and even denies the existence of God. Upon questioning, Keegan told him to “stop looking for God to give you something and go get it yourself.”
Ultimately, Keegan’s journey takes him to Far North Queensland, where circumstances allow him to assume Reverend Boyd’s identity and thus become the town’s minister. “Mac” should be responsible for maintaining the pastor’s cover. As the mob begins hunting, Mac eventually becomes familiar with the town and begins to bond with its inhabitants.
Created by Paddy Macrae, unscrupulous combines elements of a crime saga with a fish out of water premise into a dramatic and entertaining series.
