After the events of Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward, it’s time to battle the sinister Garlean Empire. You and your allies hatch a plan to liberate the conquered city-state of Alamigo, and you set out to meet the Resistance.
Of course, things don’t really go according to plan, and you’ll eventually face a new enemy… one who may be stronger than the legendary Warrior of Light.
Meanwhile, in the far eastern country of Douma, freedom fighters are striving to rekindle hope for their fellow countrymen. Will you be the spark that ignites the flames of rebellion and pushes the empire away once and for all?
Stormblood’s main campaign is an epic tale of political intrigue, stunning revelations, and thrilling action.
Stormblood expands the already vast game world with new regions unlike anything you’ve seen before. Alamigo and Doma are the lands of monks, ninjas and samurai respectively, with beautiful aesthetics inspired by the Far East.
They provide a great environment for the game’s main scenario to unfold. Plus, the many additional quests mean there’s always something new to discover in the vast and beautiful landscapes of the region.
The extension also includes two additional jobs. When it comes to combat, do you prefer melee or magic? Stormblood asks: Why don’t you have both? You can jump into or out of combat, attack enemies with red magic, and even link multiple spells to deal massive damage. It’s a very mobile, very interesting DPS role, and a lot of fun to play.
Of course, the second job added in the expansion is just as wild… you can become a samurai! This is another DPS job to master the art of Sen and Kenki. With a katana in hand, you can wipe out enemies and build up power to unleash in the form of powerful combos.
There are also plenty of new dungeons, new tribes, and primals to encounter. You’ll see Return to Ivalice and much more in a particularly great raid series from the creators of Final Fantasy XII and Final Fantasy Tactics.
