Once the Helldiver defrosts the ship, you and your squad mates will need to customize your armor, weapons, and strategy together to prepare for the mission.
Creating a loadout feels like part of mission preparation. Change your weapons to suit not only your desire for destruction, but also the mission and the types of enemies you may encounter. The biggest help as a helldiver is strategy. A powerful tool that can be summoned with a short button combination. Everything from airstrikes, to helppods containing larger and more deadly weapons, to defensive gear and additional supplies, is at your fingertips.
When choosing a strategy, it’s important to coordinate with your team to choose the best loadout for the enemy and mission type. When fighting armored enemies such as the Terminid’s Charger, you or your squad mates can equip armor-piercing weapons such as the AT-48 recoilless rifle or his AC-8 autocannon. These weapons have the ability to be reloaded by teammates to keep the fight going. Even more chaotic.
But don’t go to bed thinking about those defenses. While one Helldiver deals with heavy fire, another can summon her Shield generator to protect her teammates when enemies push back. Teams of four can choose strategies and weapon combinations that lead to a unique victory each time.

Once your helppod lands on a planet, you can start calling in support strategies like stronger weapons, shield generators, and supply backpacks.
Each squad member can play according to their own style. Some charge into battle, others activate sniper rifle tactics, picking off enemies while maintaining a safe distance. Encounters can be slipped through if the team is careful. It’s up to you to decide how you want to spread your managed democracy. Either up close and personal, or with tactical surveillance.
Of course, get used to dying once the action is in full swing. Not only are hordes of enemies relentless, but you might also encounter stray bullets from your fellow Helldiver. Either way, the team’s top priority is to use the Reinforce strategy to summon a brand new Helldiver to the planet and pick up where they left off. You can also get guns left by previous corpses.
Not only cooperative combat, but also goals that you work on together as a team. They can share locations with each other and move together on the map. There are also optional objectives to complete, requiring a bit of a detour with your teammates and, of course, more ammo. But your efforts will definitely pay off.
