From Spider-Man traversing the map to players using Dragon Ball Z’s famous Kamehameha attack, Fortnite collaborations have gotten more elaborate over the years. Witness the latest collaboration between Fortnite and Destiny. This includes an authentic recreation of his famous Javelin-4 map from the game’s Crucible mode.
In the new interview above, IGN gave us a tour of the Fortnite version of the Javelin-4 map, meticulously recreated within Fortnite’s Creative toolset.Dima Goryainov, Lead Concept Artist at Bungie The map was all created using Fortnite’s existing assets.
“Creating Javelin-4 was a collaborative process between Bungie and Team PWR. Bungie provided visual guidance and Team PWR used Fortnite’s creative toolset to rebuild the entire map. , using existing assets to meticulously recreate this iconic map,” explains Goryainov. “There were some visual changes to the map in areas where team PWR had to use the closest pieces they could find because we were unable to build new assets. All using existing models. Despite being made, the overall look and feel was captured incredibly well.”
The result is a very faithful adaptation of the original map. This collaboration also includes Destiny’s three iconic character classes (Titan, Warlock, and Hunter) as well as familiar weapons and abilities from the game.
Destiny’s collaboration with Fortnite and Fall Guys was first announced on August 23rd, alongside the new Lightfall expansion. Fortnite’s Drift, Black Knight, and Oblivion skins were reused in Destiny as new Guardians, while Destiny 2 added Commander Zavala, Ikora Rey, and Exo Stranger. Cross-pollination is noteworthy, as Fortnite rarely goes the other way.
Destiny marks the 5th anniversary of Bungie’s now-familiar service game, taking it to new heights.

This collaboration is now playable in Fortnite.
