of Phlox A new monster in the Legend of Zelda series. The Legend of Zelda: Kingdom of Tearsdark basement. The place is literally shrouded in darkness. These gigantic, fanged, frog-like monsters may seem intimidating at first, but if you know what you’re doing and are prepared, you can take them down surprisingly quickly. I can.
Luckily, Phlox is similar to the foes in Battle Tarus and Stone Tarth when it comes to strategy, so if you’re already familiar with big brute, you’re good to go. They also have low health, which is very useful to know.
The biggest problem, of course, is the location. Because, in Jamiroquai’s words, we’re going deeper underground (than Taras’ enemies).
Where to find Phlox in Tears of the Kingdom
there is a total 39 Phlox in the depths. Phlox live only underground in Hyrule, so if you’re looking for these giant frog-like monsters, be sure to dive into a nearby chasm. To see where all the phlox are, check out the depth map below.

How to beat Phlox in Tears of the Kingdom
First, check if it’s ready. At a minimum, you will need: arrow and hammer.Bring something if you want an easy life bomb flowerHowever, this is not required.
This is actually a two-part boss. It will stun and then go on a rampage.
The first and easiest way to stun it is to be defensive. Phlox has two main attacks. One is body slam. The other is simply to get away from it. The other is something that can only be described as “Kirby”.

If you are about to be sucked into a phlox’s gaping mouth, you can do whatever it takes to escape, but you may not be able to handle it. Instead, aim straight ahead and shoot. bomb arrow in its mouth.you will hear a voice of satisfaction Guguguguand can smirk as the bomb explodes in the belly of the beast.
The second stun method is the same as Hinox. Follow the golden rules of video games. If you see a big yellow eye, shoot it. This causes Phlox to fall to the floor.

No matter how you choose to stun the phlox, the next steps are the same. Run up its arm and look for the large black boulder on its back. Remember that hammer we talked about earlier? It’s Zoanite mining time.

Keep hitting until the rock breaks. This is the fastest way to inflict great damage. With a decent hammer (we used a stonetalus hammer) you probably have time to remove a couple of clumps before the phlox has to throw you off and stun you again.
Strictly speaking, you don’t need to destroy all the rocks if you get hit enough times in the eye, but you should be able to destroy them all with just two stuns.

What to do with phlox fangs?
Unlike Flux Construct and Stone Talus, Frox does not drop anything that can only be fused into weapons. Anything dropped can be picked up. However, due to the nature of combat, you’ll notice that the items dropped are a bit more extensive than normal.
The main drop items here are: Zoanitea key component that must be refined into a crystallized charge, to trade it for an additional energy cell to power the Zonai device.

But that’s not all.If you’re lucky, you might get some big zoaniteor if you are very Fortunately, Phlox crystallized large charge.
Finally, prepare the body parts. phlox fangs, phlox clawand phlox guts. The claws add +10 to Hughes’ attack power, and the fangs add a whopping +14. Both can be cooked into an elixir, and intestines can be cooked as well, just with +1 more power.
