The adventure game Beacon Pines will soon get new content in the form of new mini-games and new memory scenes.
Beacon Pines is already on Game Pass’s list of hidden gems. If you’re sad that you’ve run out of time, don’t worry. New free content is in the works. Achievements to earn too.
Beacon Pines will add new minigames and memory scenes soon
A new memory scene in Beacon Pines adds a new cooking mini-game. The story of Beacon Pines is shrouded in mystery, and this new content sounded equally intriguing, so we reached out to Hiding Spot Games for more information and lead his designer and creative director, Matt. Meyer was kind enough to answer my questions.
“New memories are the same fishing memories that exist in the game,” says Meyer. “I remember Luka helping his mom out at the Last Chance Diner instead of fishing in the pond with his dad. Like my first memory, Luka is younger and smaller. In the Diner, the player takes orders from familiar characters.The player can then go to food stations and complete food orders using charms collected in the main game.Beacon The appeal of Pines is manifold and what Hiding Spot Games has already pointed out interesting You might be able to create a culinary pairing with words like ‘stimulating’ and ‘fiery’. Meyer adds: Players get a few snippets of stories that add to the characters they meet along the way. ”
We asked Meyer what new content means for Beacon Pines achievements — will there be anything added in the update? “It’s about adding another achievement that’s given when you meet . Whether or not that achievement accomplishes that depends on the logistics of adding achievements post-launch,” he says. I’m pretty happy with the in-game achievements, and from what I’ve heard from players, the achievements seem pretty close to what I was hoping for, and most players won’t be able to get everything on their first playthrough They can’t, but they’re interested in completing them and can go back and complete them without too much trouble.”
And as to whether that free update will be the final bit of new content for Beacon Pines, “we tend to focus on perfecting the current,” says Meyer. “There are no immediate plans for additional content updates, but who knows what the future holds?”
