We spoke with Mila Pavlin, Lead UX Designer at God of War Ragnarok, game informer broke the news that the game has “over 60 features” aimed at helping players on their adventures.
Examples of accessibility options include auto sprint, turn signals in combat, high contrast mode, audio cues with captions, and easy-to-launch skill shots.
Developer Santa Monica Studio tested accessibility options with a number of consultants and testers, including veterans and visually impaired players. The aim was to focus on visual, auditory, motor skills, and cognitive comprehension.
PlayStation Studio continues to lead the implementation of important accessibility features to help more people enjoy: The Last of Us Part 2 (and now Part 1), Marvel’s Spider-Man, Horizon Forbidden West, and Ghost of Tsushima all stand out as good examples of accessibility features done right.
