War God Ragnarok Music contributor Jessica Mao has revealed that she has not been given credit for several key sequences in the game. Apparently, her Santa Monica studio has a threshold of the unknown set for people to be credited, but Mao doesn’t seem to realize it. Nonetheless, she took to Twitter to share her contribution to God of War Ragnarok, explaining her role.

Mao edited, arranged and implemented the musical portion of Freya’s chase scene and Thor’s boss fight. She particularly highlighted the work on Thor’s boss fight, and said that arranging the music was “a fun exercise”. We had to tone it down to make room for growth,” says Mao. explained“I mixed and matched the original stems to create new stems in whatever way I felt best musically.”
Mao has since revealed that her name is not in the credits for God of War Ragnarok and will not be patching either. Mao still doesn’t know what this standard is. She urged developers to rethink their approach.
