Gran Turismo 7 August Update Patch Notes
Polyphony Digital has yet to reveal the full patch notes for Gran Turismo 7’s free August update, but has revealed a list of new content players will get. The most notable of them are the four new cars. There is the McLaren MP4/4 ’88, the car that completely dominated the 1988 F1 World Championship season thanks to driver Ayrton Senna’s skill. Next up is the Pontiac GTO ‘The Judge’ ’69, one of his top road-going muscle cars of the era in terms of presence and performance. The third car, the Porsche Cayman GT4 ’16, is a track-focused sports his racing car meant to rival the 911. Finally, we have De Tomaso Mangusta (Christian Dior). This is a sports car reimagined with the essence of Dior’s elegant and evolutionary brand.
The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya will also feature three new layouts. The first is a no-chicane layout in which the chicane at the final corner has been removed and replaced with a high-speed turn. The standard track layout has therefore been renamed the Circuit de Barcelona – Catalunya GP layout. The second new layout is the National layout, where the home straight ends in a hairpin turn and runs through sectors 1 and 2 halves. A dirt track with jumps along the way.
Finally, the “Abarth” collection has been added to the café’s menu book and becomes available once the player reaches collector level 27. Meanwhile, the “Gr.2 Racing Cars” collection will be available starting at Collector Level 38. All of the above content will be added when the free August Update is released on August 14th at 11pm PT.
