To learn more about the making of the game, we spoke with Ryota Hogaki, Gameplay Director of Gundam Evolution, for some insight into its development, the inspiration behind the boost system, and more.

The game features a variety of unique mobile suits such as mobile suits with shields, mobile suits with the ability to fly, mobile suits with high-intensity single shots, snipers, and more. In FPS games, there is a basic balance, such as making it difficult for snipers to aim at mobile suits with high mobility. This is his ‘natural’ balance in FPS games and it is maintained in this title.
It is designed so that even people who are unfamiliar with Gundam can easily play if they like this genre, and people who have never played this genre before but who like Gundam and want to try it can play without problems. The new map “Colony Trading Post” is set in a space colony, which is a characteristic setting of Gundam works. A destructive match map set in an urban colony with a variety of gimmicks such as vertical obstacles and conveyor belts.
