Halo Infinite developers 343 Industries have released the first video in a four-part series that dives into different aspects of the game’s Forge mode, outlining the tools at your disposal.
Forge has been the main mode in the series since its introduction in Halo 3, originally designed as an object layout editor, but has grown into a full-blown map creator, allowing players to create maps and environments from scratch, or can be rebuilt. – Design an existing one to suit your needs. Halo Infinite’s winter update adds Forge mode in addition to campaign co-op for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and Xbox Game Pass.
Halo Infinite Forge Fundamentals four-part series
The first video in the Halo Infinite Forge Fundamentals four-part series is based on the mod building mechanics. 343 Industries’ Forge Lead Designer Michael Schorr and Multiplayer Level Designer Cliff Schuldt share some of the results you can achieve with this updated editor.
Halo Infinite launched Forge-less. The mode’s beta is slated to launch with the Winter update in November this year, but the full launch isn’t scheduled until Season 3 of 2023. With the newest mode, you’ll get first-time redo/undo buttons, object scaling, more objects than previously available in the series, more budget to spend, fresh terrain pieces, color editing, scripting , magnets, objects are found. naming etc. It’s a feature-packed upgrade compared to what was available in Halo 5, but it’ll be interesting to see if it can bring the game back to its player-friendly state.
