Kenneth Branagh’s Hercule Poirot is back in the first trailer for Ghosts of Venice. under Not just a person who lets people in, but a grave of Grave.
That’s right, we are talking about ghosts. Check out the trailer below.
As seen in the trailer, the story revolves around a girl who died in Venice one year before the events of the film. Michelle Yeoh’s character helps the girl’s mother conduct a seance to speak to the girl – but someone is killed during it, and Poirot is potentially a new kind of case, a supernatural case. must be resolved.
The trailer heavily sells this angle, presenting a long scene for a trailer where Poirot stands in front of a bathroom mirror and sees a dead girl behind him with his hair wet. I quickly turn around, but no one is there.
The Haunting of Venice, the third Poirot film directed and starring by Branagh, is based on Agatha Christie’s novel Halloween Party. However, this trailer doesn’t look much like that story (which takes place in England), except that a dead child is at the center of the plot and Poirot is present. The novel wasn’t a ghost story, just another complicated murder mystery that required the intelligence of Poirot. The name changes like this.
Is this situation actually supernatural? Does Hercule Poirot have to outsmart and outsmart literal ghosts? Or is this all a smoke screen? We’ll find out when A Haunting in Venice hits cinemas in his September.
