Today, there are plenty of free games, from Epic’s weekly giveaways to publisher promotions on Steam and GOG sale giveaways. But staying on top of all of them can be a real chore, and you may have missed some good stuff.
So here PC Gamer has decided to help with this run list of all free games that cross the screen. The goal is to be able to find and charge games that normally cost money. As such, it includes and mentions temporary promotions that can be maintained for free, but is usually free, such as games that you can play for free. For that, be sure to look at the categorized breakdown of the best free PC games.
So this is what we have:
For a limited time:
- Tannenberg (Opens in a new tab) -Co-op multiplayer recreation on the Eastern Front of World War I. 64 players are fighting for a fairly large map. (Epic, until July 28th)
- Shop Titans (Opens in a new tab) -Fantasy shop keeping, Recettear or Moonlighter veins. Make gear, sell it in your store, then hire an adventurer to collect more loot for you in dangerous dungeons. (Epic, until July 28th)
- Street Fighter 2: Warriors of the World (Opens in a new tab) -Capcom Arcade Stadium usually only comes with 1943-Midway battles are free and all other Capcom Arcade Classics are DLC. However, you can now get Street Fighter 2 for $ Zero to promote your next Capcom Arcade Stadium 2. (Steam, until July 31st)
Can be stored freely:
- The Elder Scrolls: Arena (Opens in a new tab) When The Elder Scrolls: Daggerfall (Opens in a new tab) -The first two games in the classic RPG series have arrived on Steam thanks to the end of the Bethesda launcher. The arena has some great dungeons, Daggerfall is an ambitious mess, and probably the most buggy Bethesda has ever made.
- Wolfenstein: Enemy territory (Opens in a new tab) -This purpose-based multiplayer World War II FPS is another survivor of the Bethesda Launcher’s downfall.
- Magic: The Gathering Arena Booster Pack (Opens in a new tab) -Magic Extension Alchemy Horizons: Why not try Baldur’s Gate? Use the code PlayHBG in the store to get 3 booster packs for free.

Prime Gaming:
Prime gaming games are not Technically It’s free because you need to be a subscriber to use it. However, there are plenty of things to offer, such as in-game loot and starter packs for free games, so it’s worth paying attention to.
