Have you ever had strange fantasies about the attractive person who lives next door? We all have the following thoughts in our heads. have that gorgeous blondemulch them, smoke them, and get a bigger hit than Jesse Pinkman on his best days. Jesse may also say drugs can have side effects, including digestive problems. No. Like my kitten these days, High on Life has diarrhea – games are the only language type.
Isn’t that a great opening line? First of all, I am not completely against High on Life. It’s a fully functional game, but just being functional doesn’t get you high. If you haven’t got Game Pass yet or haven’t got it yet, let me explain what High on Life is. A shooting action game with platform elements. Think Ratchet & Clank. However, it lacks charm, fun, humor, great characters, good script, and charm. Also knowledge of why such games are suitable.
Wait, no, it’s positive. So the gun is decent enough. You can find his four guns (five including the one saved in the last level – plus post-game tinkering and potential DLC), each with a unique voice and personality. There are knives that rip something out of its entrails and take the hypersexual pleasure out of ripping it out.
It’s unfair. I enjoyed my knives.I liked Naifuni more than any weapon or character in the game because he wasn’t there All bloody hours. He got a few lines here and there that made me laugh and didn’t make me want to tear my eardrums out with my pelican pubes. I have to admit that early on I wanted to hear how each gun reached different sides, but in the end, it was more like telling people I was ready for a “trick hole.” They will be on the same level (meaning they can use that special attack). ). It also reminds me of my current goals from time to time. Most of all, they comment on how weak enemies are a waste of time and how dull enemy waves are.
Despite the constant waves of enemies, the shootouts within High on Life are decent once you get your hands on the later Gatrian (alien gun species). You can find some fun little aspects here and there. The only other thing I can fully praise is the in-game movement. All of these are reached through the use of Gatrian trick shots and jetpacks.
High on Life’s art style traverses powerfully across different realms within High on Life. as said in the trailer, very colorful. Simply put, it looks great. I imagine it will age well aesthetically. This, coupled with the level design, is a positive. The way the world opens up as you complete more bounties (killing bosses) and get more Gatrian in alternate firing modes (which act as transportation) is one of the game’s few unconditional positives. One.
I wish there was more. Weapon variety is small, but I think it’s enough to end the bargain during combat. As I said, I am aware of how sluggish some enemies are. Squanch Games probably thought it was funny. The reality is that saying some enemies are a waste of time or criticizing another arena fight just underlines what my brain is already telling me.
Also, I have to say that the gunplay is pretty floating. That’s going to be a downside for some, but I didn’t expect it to be a tight shooter. can be purchased) to add a bit of versatility to your gun.
As mentioned earlier, traversal is one of the positives that is not limited. High on Life is a first-person platformer that is much better than a shooter. I explore areas, find Luglox chests (I just happened to write Lugnut from Future Man – see that show), collectible cards, warp points, and explore little extras added by Squanch Games. enjoys doing That said, even if some of the extras have the same humor as the rest of the game, for example connecting pipes so one alien can eat his friend’s poop.
I don’t have much more to say about High on Life. The setting is as irreverent as you’d expect – you’re a kid who picked up an alien gun when they invaded Earth. You play a lot of video games so you can handle it – you of the first game played. Meet some more characters and don’t run into narrative arches. As I was told, I don’t count.
So do I like High on Life? When I wrote the preview, I thought I would like it.I remember View outside E3 and thought it looked good.It certainly works by itself game pass and steam, but I can’t say I have much positive feelings for it. Maybe that’s why my review was delayed. That’s not why, I just wanted to add a few more lines in there to mimic the way High on Life doesn’t stop. No, it doesn’t stop at all. It just goes on and on. It goes on until the joke is successfully and truly killed. Consider the victims of Fred West. Or perhaps a victim murdered by repeated stabbings in the genitals. Also, since it’s from High on Life, they were covered in poop.
PC Version Reviewed – A copy provided by the publisher.
High on Life is likely to be a divisive game. The gameplay is more than adequate, but if you’re happy with an unpolished, almost arcade-style shooter, it’s down to dialogue and “comedy.” It’s funny to begin with, but I’ve repeated enough drinking games to lead to liver failure.
Strong Points
- A strong visual style that is moderately attractive and ages well.
- The action is moderately enjoyable and there is a good variety of options thanks to the weapon’s alternate firing modes.
- Decent platform elements.
Cons
- However, combat is limited by enemy types and an over-reliance on arenas.
- Then the game commits the cardinal sin of saying bad things are bad – this game also misses the fact that they are bad.
- Associated with this is the general humor and dialogue, often frustratingly overdone.
